I love the creative. I love the experimental. I love it a little different. What else are we here for but to experience it all with unlimited possibilities.
Creating new and innovative designs through the use of 3D and 2D applications, utilizing 3D Studio Max, Maya, Photoshop and Illustrator. Designing trade-show exhibits, set designs, interior architecture and high-end custom furniture. Creating work for television and movie studios, entertainment corporations, gaming corporations, clothing and shoe manufacturers to wind power companies. My formal education consists of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Architecture from the University of Louisiana and more recently studying Texture Mapping at Gnomon, School of Visual Effects, Games + Animation, Hollywood, California.
My professional career started as Interior Designer in New York City with Alan Garry Associates, after graduating from college. Alan gave me an opportunity that I'm forever grateful for, just out of school and new to Manhattan, he gave me my first break. After New York City, I designed for Perez Architects in New Orleans producing commercial interiors. During this time, I had the opportunity to produce my first collection of gallery exhibited custom art furniture. While in New Orleans I met the incredible Lorry Parks touring the Memphis/Milano collection, an exhibition of new work led by Ettore Sottsass. Lorry brought me on to direct the touring collection throughout the United States and I worked as Director of Sales as well, with Grace Designs of Dallas, representing internationally renowned art furniture collections designed by Ettore Sottsass, Philippe Starck and other ground-breaking designer/artists. The touring of the Memphis/Milano collection allowed me to work with the finest museums across the country including The Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt, National Design Museum.
Following that experience, I then became Sales Director for The Pace Collection in Houston, Texas. This gave me the opportunity to work with other designers and architects in selecting high-end furniture for their commercial and residential installations. The next several years I designed for custom furniture manufacturers. I designed and detailed custom furniture for architects and interior designers, producing new designs and also designing to match exsisting pieces.
In 1998 I began designing trade show exhibits for Omnigroup in Houston, Texas, working with clients as; Dupont, Continental Airlines and Shell, I then moved to California and worked for Czarnowski Exhibit Services and Premier Displays & Exhibits producing trade show exhibit designs for companies as; Boeing, Discovery Network, Disney, Electronic Arts, HKS, NBC, New Line Cinema, Nintendo, Odwalla, Skechers and Yokohama for shows as Comic-Con, E3 and WSA.
My trade show booth design for Skechers was awarded BEST IN SHOW at WSA 2008, and my design for Swarovski was awarded BEST NEW BOOTH also at WSA that same year.
I have also had the incredible opportunity to create designs for set designer extraordinaire Scott Storey for NBC and ABC, television scenery for new gameshows and reality show pitches.
As Design Director for Exponents, I work with international clients producing designs for Cirque Du Soleil, Legend 3D, Upwind Solutions, and The Midway.
